Friday February 5th, 5-8pm
Saturday February 6th, 11a – 4pm
By practicing masking and social distancing, the Chocolate Tour will still offer families the opportunity to stroll through downtown Lewisburg businesses and indulge in chocolate that has been prepared with COVID-19 precautions in mind. Pick up your individually packaged chocolate treats at several designated outdoor locations throughout downtown, easily found on a map that you will be given at registration.
To add to your enjoyment of the Tour, the Heiter Center has collaborated with the Lewisburg Downtown Partnership, CommUnity Zone, and Campus Theatre for this event. Lewisburg in Lights will light up downtown on Friday, Feb 5th, from 5-8PM. On Saturday, Feb 6th, from 12-3PM, you can participate in a family-friendly scavenger hunt with an additional chocolate prize for those who complete it (prize is limited to the first 50 participants).
Alternatively, for those preferring to maintain more social distance, there will be an option on Saturday to pick up chocolate at a drive through location at the Lewisburg Children’s Museum. The first 100 participants at this location will also receive a special STEM hot chocolate activity kit.
Also new this year! The Chocolate Tour includes the chance to enjoy music from local musicians through our original podcast! Artists such as Van Wagner, Krista Carney, Kathryn Stiadle, Allen Swanson, Sophie Bell, Kate Landis, Grace Kenny, Christina Han, Dave Simons, and Tim Warren chose to distance-record themselves to recreate the feeling of enjoying music in the park. Recognizable tunes relating to the themes of February elevate the spirit and please the ear as it reflects on light, love, and most importantly, sweets!
In order to help us maintain crowd sizes, please help us by purchasing your ticket in advance and pre-selecting your time slot. Tickets will remain available during the event, until they have sold out.
